Dr. Abu El Haggag Nasr El Din Ahmed – Professional Profile

Dr. Abu El Haggag Nasr El Din Ahmed is an expert in Environmental Geology, Mineral Resources Exploration and Evaluation, and Natural Protected Area Management. His professional background combines geological studies, environmental assessment, natural resource management, and the supervision of environmental and development projects.

He holds a Ph.D. in Science from the Faculty of Science, South Valley University (2006), an M.Sc. in Geology from South Valley University (1993), and a B.Sc. in Geology from the Faculty of Science, Qena, Assiut University (1985).

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Ahmed has held several technical and leadership positions within specialized government environmental institutions. He served as General Manager of the Regional Branch of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) in the Red Sea Governorate, and subsequently worked as an Advisor to the Agency’s General Department until his retirement.

His areas of professional experience include environmental geology, mineral exploration and evaluation, sedimentological and geological studies, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), natural reserve management, and environmental program planning. He has also contributed to the supervision of environmental and development projects, with particular involvement in natural resource conservation and sustainable development.

His technical expertise extends to the management and development of protected areas, including Wadi El Gemal Protected Area, groundwater resource studies, flash-flood risk assessment, biodiversity conservation, ecotourism, and environmental awareness programs.
